Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman of business. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. Buss hails from California is a member of an very wealthy family. Her father Jerry Buss was a real-estate businessman who became proprietor of the Lakers and other sports businesses. When she was in the year 1972, her parents broke up up and she felt emotionally lost. Her family's business was started at the age of 19 to become the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she established her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She first served as vice-president of the Lakers before she assumed the presidency of the Great Western Forum. Buss' father died in 2013, as did the Lakers were passed down by her as well as five of her siblings via the trust. Each of the siblings had equally many votes. Buss assumed the role of the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also co-owns Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its headquarters in Los Angeles.
